Dr Chris Chan
MBBS, FRANZCO

Dr Christopher Chan graduated at Monash
University and is trained in all areas of
general Ophthalmology. Dr Chan’s special
interests are in glaucoma management,
cataract surgery and laser refractive surgery.
Dr Chan is well known for his research in
mitochondrial eye diseases and is involved in
teaching ophthalmology at Western Health
and The Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital.
Dr Chan has been actively involved with
advanced technology multifocal and extended
depth of focus intra-ocular lenses. He was
a part of the early group of eye surgeons
that implanted accomodating intra-oular
lens in Australia. More recently, Dr Chan has
been involved with a nationwide clinical
trial of the new generation small aperture
intra-ocular lens in Australia & New Zealand.
Dr Brian Ang
MBchB, FRCSed,
FRChphth, FRANZCO

Dr Brian Ang graduated in medicine from the
University of Edinburgh in 2000 before completing
his ophthalmology training in Norwich, England
and Aberdeen, Scotland in 2009. He then
furthered his glaucoma training under the
tutelage of Professor Augusto Azuara-Blanco
(Scotland), Dr Tarek Shaarawy (Switzerland),
and Professor Anthony Wells (New Zealand).
Dr Ang currently holds an appointment as a
Consultant in Glaucoma at the Royal Victorian
Eye and Ear Hospital, where he takes an active
role in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
and mentoring and also at Western Health.
Dr Ye Chen
MBBS, FRCOphth, FRANZCO

Dr Ye Chen is an ophthalmic surgeon wiht
sub-speciality interest in eyelid, lacrimal and
orbital surgery (oculoplastics). He has special
interests in endoscopic lacrimal surgery,
thyroid eye disease and eyelid tumors.
